One effective way of assessing the performance of employees is by conducting a qualitative employee evaluation. However, it can be challenging to develop an appropriate template for evaluating employees. Nonetheless, there are employee evaluation samples that one can use. They consist of the name, id and position held as well as evaluation items used in the assessment.

A qualitative evaluation is prepared from information gathered after observing employee behavior at work, the obstacles they deal with to perform their duties and their work habits, and recording it. Qualitative evaluation is in areas such as interpersonal skills, decision making, productivity, decision making, commitment to work and job knowledge.

Productivity

  1. Attainment of set objectives- Employee completes given assignments effectively and within the set time
  2. Quality of work - Always focused on achieving goals producing exemplary work
  3. Appropriate use of resources- Works with minimal resources to produce great results
  4. Gross profit accrued- Employee’s sale target has improved
  5. Quantity of work- Conducts more than the tasks provided within the set time frame

  1. Employee contribution to workplace improvement- Employee contributes own ideas to improve the organization
  2. Adherence to organization’s culture- Understands the organization culture and works in line with it
  3. Commitment to duties- Depicts high commitment to their duties at the workplace
  4. Commitment to volunteer activities- Employee likes to engage in volunteer activities
  5. Goal-oriented- Knows the goals of the organization and they are committed to achieving them

  1. Employees cooperation with colleagues, stakeholders and external parties- Always willing to help colleagues, stakeholders and others in the organization
  2. Promotion of cooperation- Works towards achieving a cohesive work environment.
