At various companies, employees have different skills and abilities. Some are good at other things while others are not, but all their efforts contribute to the organization achieving its goals and objective. As a project manager or a boss of your company you need to know your employees well and their capabilities so as to be able to assign tasks accordingly. To be able to do this you will have to come up with what is called a skills matrix. It is a table that indicates the employee’s proficiency in skills and abilities and whether they are interested in applying these skills in performing duties. The template should have these main areas, skills section, employees’ name, proficiency level, employees’ interest and templates’ key.
