Employers require notice before an employee can terminate their employment. According to your job description, ensure that you follow through with the employment policy that you are under. Take time and review any documentation and systems that you received from your employer before notifying him of your desire to terminate. It helps you do it right according to the company policies. Even if you are leaving due to negative circumstances ensure that your termination letter is pleasant and positive. Think about any benefits or salary that you are entitled to and how the termination is going to affect you. REF: Employment Resignation

Dear Sir,

I am taking this opportunity to thank you for the years of experience I have gained while I worked at the Trust Foundation as an Administrative Assistant for three years. After a long deliberation, I have made a tough decision to terminate my job and move on to do other things in my life. My last day of employment will be on April 20, 2015.

I have come to know, learn and appreciate how getting valuable information across to the appropriate people promptly is vital. That's why I have to choose to write my termination letter early enough as instructed in the company policy to render my resignation letter 40 days before my final date.

The next 40 days I will finish up on my unfinished projects and organize all the paperwork to leave them neat and filed correctly. Please let me know if you have anything you want me to work on before I leave or if you need any more assistance during my transition, kindly let me know.

In the next 40 days, I will still give every task the attention it deserves and submits all the reports to my supervisor for validation.

Before I leave, I will ensure I submit everything that belongs to the office and follow through the exit process to fill and sign all the required forms. In the case of any questions or concerns, do not hesitate to talk to me either through the phone or email.

Yours faithfully,

Enoch Moon,
Administrative Assistant
